A little bit of this, a little bit of that...
To the beat of my very own, out of tune, eclectic drum!
My mom was a trained dancer, my sister too and of course so was my dad but since I couldn't follow choreography I decided to mimic the greats like Michael & Janet Jacskon, and Nsync - don't judge! Growing up I've always gravitated towards the arts. Coloring, drawing (though I seriously cannot draw to safe my life!), dancing, and of course high school band class where it was apparent that I couldn't harmonize. Back then, I didn't realized that I've been doing what I love since I was 6 years old. You see my photography journey started way before I realized that photography was a hobby and or a profession. I always had a disposable camera in hand for every school event, field trip and summer camp. My very first client was my adorable and courageous grandma, I did her make up, styled her and even posed her, she paid me $5 which I used to buy two rolls of film. And though it took me years to realize that my talent was hidden behind the camera, I'm happy to have found my beat!
In 2007 I was looking for wedding photographers when it dawned on me that I could do photography as a profession and one week after I got back from my honeymoon I started to photograph everything that crossed my lens. I would study and practice for hours on end and in 2009 I shot my first wedding. I loved the documentary and story telling side of weddings, the ability to capture true raw emotions of such a high tensity day filled my adrenaline bucket!
My music photography started in 2015 when I was asked to document a concert for the Miami Music Project. That day changed my life, I felt that I found my place in the arts after so many years of searching! Each photograph came so naturally and effortlessly to me, I was mesmerized and captivated. From that day forward I made it my mission to photograph musicians, dancers and actors as a personal project. And finally in 2017 I mustered up the courage and decided to open a studio where I can create beautiful photographs for amazing people!
