Art for the sake of creating.

Soul Creative Project is where photography becomes something deeply personal.

It is my space to create outside the boundaries of a traditional portrait session, client brief, or commissioned project. The work begins with an idea, a story, a feeling, or something I simply feel called to explore.

From there, I build the concept and invite the people who feel right for it.

Sometimes that means creating with a musician, dancer, artist, or other creative. Sometimes the inspiration comes from faith, movement, music, nature, or a story I simply cannot get out of my head.

The common thread is that these projects begin with me.

They are created because there is something I want to explore, something I want to say, or simply something beautiful I want to bring to life.

WHERE IT BEGAN

Soul Creative Project began in the summer of 2017, during a season when I was working primarily as a wedding photographer.

I loved documenting meaningful moments, but creatively, I was hungry for something different.

I wanted room to experiment. To play. To build concepts. To make photographs simply because I felt compelled to make them.

An opportunity to photograph a musical performance opened that door, and something clicked.

Soul Creative became the place where I could follow my curiosity and create imagery filled with movement, emotion, story, meaning, or sometimes no explanation at all.

Over the years, it has grown and changed along with me.

Today, Soul Creative remains a deeply personal body of work and a glimpse into the part of photography that feeds my creative soul.

I believe the gifts God gives us are meant to be used.

Soul Creative is one of the ways I choose to steward mine.

About Collaborations

Soul Creative Projects are personal projects rather than commissioned work.

From time to time, I invite artists, musicians, dancers, models, and other creatives to participate in a concept I am developing. These collaborations are selected specifically for each project based on the story, vision, and creative direction.

I am not currently accepting commissioned Soul Creative projects or general collaboration requests.

When a project calls for a particular person, story, or artistic voice, I reach out directly.

If you are an artist, dancer, musician, model, or creative and would like to be considered for a future Soul Creative Project, I’d love to learn a little about you and your work.

Submitting an application adds you to my creative roster for consideration as new concepts take shape. If I see a potential connection between you and an idea I’m developing, I’ll reach out for a short conversation so we can get to know one another and explore whether the project feels like the right fit.

Applying does not guarantee participation, and there is no need to have professional modeling experience. I’m often more interested in the person, their story, their craft, and what they might bring to a particular concept.

A Little Note

Soul Creative sessions are personal, non-commercial creative projects rather than commissioned or paid modeling assignments. There is no fee to participate, and no payment or modeling fee is provided.

Selected participants receive professionally created final images from the project and may use those photographs to help build or expand their portfolio, subject to the project’s image-use terms.

Each project is different, and participation, image selection, creative direction, and final usage will be discussed before we create together.
