Lot’s wife becomes a symbol of what happens when we allow ourselves to be tied too tightly to what God has called us to leave behind. She was delivered, spared, and given a way forward, yet her eyes and heart were still bound to the past.

Once accustomed to wealth, fine garments, and a life of ease, she now joins Lot and his people. The silks and jewelry that once defined her status are replaced with linen garments, simple and functional for the life she was stepping into. Though pride likely still lingered quietly in her heart, outwardly, she began to embrace humility.

This is where we first meet Lot’s wife, in Sodom. She was surrounded by a culture marked by excess, wealth, and indulgence. The people of Sodom lived for themselves, chasing status, possessions, and pleasure, with little regard for God. This world was all she had ever known, and it’s likely the same world that made it so hard for her to fully let go when the time came to leave.

I’m so excited to finally be sharing this three-part series with you. This project has been sitting in my heart for a while, waiting for the right time. It’s deeply personal, created with both love and curiosity, and now it feels right to bring it into the light.

This session was full of real connection: running through the waves, laughter, and sandy hugs that turned into full-on playful moments. The Perazzo’s are a close-knit family who travel often, creating memories all across this beautiful country. You can tell they genuinely enjoy each other’s company, whether they’re on the road or right here on the shoreline.

The weather in Florida was warm and comfortable, a nice change from the chilly 30-degree temperatures they usually have back home in Massachusetts this time of year. The kids especially enjoyed the warmer November weather, running around barefoot on the sand and soaking up the sunshine during their Thanksgiving visit.

Jbay is one of my OGs. We’ve been working together for years, and every session with him feels like returning to a creative home. From capturing album covers and Spotify profile images, to curating content for Instagram, Facebook, and his website, it’s been a full-circle kind of journey. We've even brought our visions to life through video, including a music video we created together, which still remains one of my favorite collaborative pieces to date.

This session was all about keeping things simple but stylish. Just a clean studio setup, some cool posing, and that confident, editorial edge, but still totally teen. Think: fun, fierce, and full of personality (with a little sprinkle of sass, of course 💅).

From the moment we started, it was clear that this family was a close-knit unit. The love and connection between them made for some truly beautiful moments. As the sun began to rise, the soft, golden light created the perfect backdrop for our session. The beach was calm and serene, allowing the Sipes to relax and enjoy their time together while I captured their genuine interactions.

Working with Harley is never just a photo session. It’s a creative exchange, a breath of fresh air, a space to play, feel, and be. Every time we collaborate, it feels like therapy for both of us. There’s something electric about the way we work together-effortless yet intentional, raw but refined. We just get each other, creatively and emotionally.
