For many years, sharing photographs was simply part of being a photographer. I did it too, and I’m grateful to the families who trusted me with their stories and allowed me to share them.
But over time, something in me began to shift.
With the growth of AI, facial recognition, and the ease with which images can be saved or reshared, sharing a child’s face began to feel more personal than it once did.
If these were my children, what would I be comfortable with?
I’m not a mother, but I know I would be very protective of how much of my children’s faces and lives exist publicly online.
So I’ve made the choice to do things a little differently.
Why I’m changing the way I share
A different kind of portfolio
This doesn’t mean you’ll never see my clients on my website or social media again.
What it means is that I’m becoming much more intentional about how I share.
You’ll likely begin seeing more of the photographs I’ve always loved creating anyways…
Little hands, movement, windblown hair, embraces, silhouettes, parents watching from a distance, the in-between moments.
Sometimes faces will be visible, with permission. Sometimes they wont. And I actually find something incredibly beautiful about that!
A photograph doesn’t need to show everything to make you feel something.

First and foremost, I’m here to create something meaningful for you.
You’ll have a say in whether your photographs may be shared and where they can be shared.
Being photographed by me does not automatically mean your family, or your children’s faces, need to become part of my social media or marketing.
If you’re completely comfortable with me sharing certain photographs, wonderful. If you’d rather I don’t, that’s wonderful too!
Neither choice changes the experience you’ll receive from me.
